Size – 102.9 hectares
The site is effectively split into two portions with 8.3 hectares being the site of the former Meremere Power station and the remaining 94.6 hectares being combination of rural and whangamarino wetland.
Following Raupatu settlement Genesis had a lease with TGH for the ex Power station site which expired in 2017. During Genesis tenure they had subleased the site to Nikau Contractors and in 2018 TGH entered into a lease directly with Nikau.
The remainder of the site is leased to farmers as grazing land although parts of this has now been retired in an effort to reduce environmental impacts on the nearby Whangamarino.
