Tainui Group Holdings (TGH) has announced three appointments to its expanded management team.
TGH CEO, Mike Pohio, said that there has been a need to recruit more staff to deal with significant recent and expected business growth. This recruitment process is group-wide. The senior management team will increase from three to four with the previous CFO position being disestablished and two new management positions created. A Finance Manager role has also been created and two more graduates have been taken on.
“The functions previously carried out by the former CFO have been split into two distinct roles,” Mr Pohio said. “I am delighted to announce that TGH has appointed, Chris Joblin, to the revised CFO position and, Tama Potaka, as General Manager, Corporate Services.
Chris has been with AFFCO for six years and is currently the CFO. Prior to this he worked for Pendragon PLC; a major UK automotive retail company. He takes up his new role with TGH in December.
Tama has been a lawyer and consultant for ten years specialising in commercial law and projects. For the last two years he has been practicing as a senior solicitor at Bell Gully in Auckland. Meanwhile, Richard Jefferies has been appointed to the newly created Finance Manager’s position.
Richard, who started with TGH late last month, was with Open Country Cheese for two-anda-half years, and prior to that worked for KPMG. Mr Pohio said being able to recruit three high calibre and highly experienced managers like this is testament to both the strength and outlook of TGH. “The last year has been extremely challenging but the group is in good heart and has exciting projects underway or about to start,” Mr Pohio said.
