A strictly commercial business model, with strong governance, is the cornerstone of TGH's business philosophy. It has been agreed that a clear distinction should be made between the organisation responsible for wealth creation, TGH, and those responsible for distribution of that wealth, the Waikato-Tainui tribal authorities. This is an extremely important distinction because it means the company can focus solely on its commercial imperative to maximise shareholder returns.
